Terms and Conditions

ChopWise helps you track food, activity and weight. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Calorie, macro and weight goals are general estimates based on the information you provide.

Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before making major changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, heart, kidney or other health conditions, take medication, or have a history of disordered eating. Never ignore professional advice because of something in the app.

Meal scans, exercise estimates and food values are produced by AI and food databases. They are approximate and can be wrong, especially for home-cooked meals where ingredients and oil vary. Please review results and correct them when needed. You are responsible for decisions you make based on them.

You must be at least 13 years old to use ChopWise. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian. You agree to give accurate information about yourself so your goals are calculated sensibly.

Your profile, plan, diary, settings and photos are saved to your ChopWise account so they're kept safe and can be restored on a new phone. Deleting your account erases them permanently, and we can't recover them afterwards. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

ChopWise is a paid app. Your subscription starts with a 3-day free trial, and every feature is included.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm your purchase

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

• You can manage or cancel your subscription in the Settings app > your name > Subscriptions

• If you start a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before

• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com

Your purchase is also governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

You agree not to:

• Use ChopWise for anything illegal or harmful

• Try to copy, reverse engineer, disrupt or overload the app or its servers

• Use automated tools to access the app or our services

• Upload content you don't have the right to share

When Groups are available, you also agree to follow our Community Guidelines.

You own the photos, posts and other content you create. By posting in Groups, you give ChopWise permission to display that content to the members of those groups so the feature can work. You can delete your content at any time. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these terms or our Community Guidelines.

ChopWise, including its design, text, graphics and software, belongs to us and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes. Food data from Open Food Facts is available under the Open Database Licence.

We're always improving ChopWise, so features may change, be added or be removed. We may update these terms from time to time; we'll change the date at the top and let you know in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use ChopWise means you accept the updated terms.

ChopWise is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on estimates in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

You can stop using ChopWise at any time by deleting your account in Profile and removing the app. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.
