Community Guidelines

Last updated 31 October 2026

ChopWise Groups are for encouraging each other to eat well and feel good. Everyone here is on their own journey, at their own pace. These guidelines keep Groups friendly, safe and useful for all.

Be kind and supportive

Celebrate progress of every size. Encourage, don't judge. Disagree respectfully, and remember there's a real person behind every post.

No body shaming

Never mock, criticise or comment negatively on anyone's body, weight, size, shape or food choices, including your own in ways that could hurt others. Before-and-after photos are welcome when shared by the person in them.

Keep it healthy and safe

We don't allow content that promotes:

  • Eating disorders, purging or extreme restriction
  • Very low calorie diets, fasting challenges or "how low can you go" competitions
  • Unsafe weight-loss pills, supplements, injections or other products

If you or someone in your group is struggling, please reach out to a health professional or someone you trust.

Share accurate information

Share what works for you, but don't present personal tips as medical advice. Don't spread false health claims or tell people to stop treatment or medication.

Respect privacy

Only share your own photos and stories. Don't post photos of other people, or anyone's personal information such as phone numbers, addresses or health details, without their permission.

No hate, harassment or threats

We don't tolerate content that attacks people based on ethnicity, tribe, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or health, or any harassment, bullying, threats or sexual content.

No spam or selling

Groups aren't for advertising, selling products or services, pyramid schemes or posting repeated links. Invite friends to join because it helps, not for profit.

Reporting and enforcement

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it to us at support@chopwise.app. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, limit features or close accounts. Breaking these guidelines may also break our Terms and Conditions.
